Caroline van Donkersgoed-Holz has joined the Board of Directors as of early 2009. Carolie is a long time resident and owner of the Villa Blanc Bed & Breakfast lodge. We are delighted that a community minded person from the west side of the Mountain has joined our Board. Caroline has lived on the Mountain since the early 1990's and has seen many changes. She vividly recalls the 2003 fire, where the flames were literally at her doorsteps. Only thought the valiant efforts by her family and fire fighters was her home spared. She is an avid painter, with much of her art showing the beauty of our Mountain. her paintings are marvelous scenes, birds, animals and the grandeur of Anarchist Mountain. Welcome Caroline. |

Art's family roots on the mountain go back to 1916. The family ranch as operated by Art and his family date back to 1928 and originally started as a mixed family operation, however, through Art's introduction to 4-H at the age of nine, the ranch became famous for its pure-bred Hereford cattle. Art has lived on the ranch all his life expect for a brief period attending Olds College in Alberta to complete a diploma in agriculture. Few people know the Anarchist community better than Art. His insight will be highly valued as a Director.

With 35 years working in environmental science in the private sector and for government in technical and legal areas, Mark is eminently qualified to sit as a founding director of the AMCS. He has led investigations which resulted in companies being required to conduct environmental clean-up projects. Mark also was part of a team of legal & environmental professionals defending the Town of Walkerton Ont. against lawsuits resulting from contaminated drinking water in that community. He and wife Patricia, also an experienced environmental professional, have made their home at Regal Ridge since 2007. Currently they guide manufacturing companies in recycling and environmentally responsible packaging.

Teresa Marty joined the Board of the Anarchist Mountain Community Society in 2010, and was re-elected to the Board for 2011. She holds the position of Treasurer of the Society.
Teresa comes to Anarchist Mountain from Central Canada having been born and raised in Montreal. Educated as an economist, she moved to Ottawa where she raised a family. Teresa worked for the federal government as an energy policy advisor for 20 years. On her retirement, she and husband Nick moved to Oliver while their home was being built on Anarchist Mountain. They moved to the Mountain in June 2008 and are enjoying their beautiful home.
Teresa is very interested in the conservation lands on the Mountain and wants to learn as much as possible about the flora and fauna in the area. She is a dog lover, an avid hiker and horsewoman and is learning to play the piano. Adapting to rural life has been an adventure for Teresa after her life in the city and she is grateful to all her friendly and helpful neighbours who are making this endeavour so much fun.

Since retiring as a teacher in 1990, Naga and his wife Sue embarked on a hobby venture: growing apples and soft fruits on a 10 acre property. [East bench Osoyoos] The concept of Farmers' Market and Agri-Tourism provided much in the way of promoting their locally grown
products, and making local townsfolk and tourists aware of the resource and beauty of orchard and garden farming. Festivals, farmgate sales and tours kept Naga, his wife and volunteers busy during their fifteen years on the farm.
In the year 2005 they sold their farm and retired to an easy quiet living on Regal Ridge Properties. Since the formation of the Anarchist Mountain Community Society, Naga has served on the Conservation Area Negotiating Committee and has assisted in an overview of the south grassland area with the SOS Stewardship program. As an AMCS Director, Naga has his goal set on assisting Regal Ridge development in creating a unique village and community centre.
Naga joined the AMCS Board in October 2008.
